The Searcy Police Department was investigating a murder-suicide of a husband and wife discovered on Wednesday while doing a welfare check.

According to authorities, officers were called 314 N. Ella at around 3:45 p.m. when a relative was unable to get anyone to answer the door.

When police entered the home, they found husband Frank Vincent Ollis V. Jr., 36, and wife Jesayia Sage Ollis, 23, dead inside.

Officials said with the evidence they've collected, it is believed that Frank Ollis Jr. killed Jesayia Ollis, then committed suicide.

The criminal investigation division was still conducting an active ongoing investigation.

Both bodies are being sent to the state crime lab to determine how long the couple had been dead.
