The Polish National Opera is set to celebrate the 20th anniversary of baritone Artur Ruciński with a special gala.

The concert will showcase the baritone alongside Pretty Yende on June 23.

The baritone made his debut as Tchaikovsky’s “Eugene Onegin” and has returned to the Polish National Opera many times in productions of “Turandot” and “Madama Butterfly” by Giacomo Puccini, “Carmen” by Georges Bizet, “The Queen of Spades” by Piotr Illych Tchaikovsky, “The Magic Flute” by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, “Halka” by Stanisław Moniuszko, “Iwona, Princess of Burgundy” by Zygmunt Krauze, “The Barber of Seville” by Gioacchino Rossini, and “Faust” by Charles Gounod.

For the concert, Yende and Ruciński will perform music by Verdi, Donizetti, and Rossini. Patrick Fournillier conducts.
