Easton and Palmer Township police and the Northampton County Drug Task Force on Thursday morning arrested a 55-year-old township man who was believed to be selling “larger quantities” of methamphetamine from a home on Northwood Avenue, an official said.

Jeff Dipasquale was being charged with possession with intent to deliver meth, which is an open felony, as well as possession of crack cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia, Easton police Lt. Matthew Gerould told lehighvalleylive.com.

Dipasquale was arraigned later Thursday morning before District Judge Susan Hutnik and housed in Northampton County Prison in lieu of $50,000 bail, records show. His preliminary hearing is tentatively scheduled 10 a.m.June 7 in Central Court in Easton.

Dipasquale was taken into custody without incident about 7:30 a.m. outside the home, and a search warrant was served, Gerould said.

The suspect was led in handcuffs from the red brick ranch-style home to a waiting Easton police vehicle.

Gerould said the investigation began in Easton and controlled buys were made from the home in Palmer.

Investigators recovered $8,000 in meth — some packaged for sale, some ready to be packaged — $200 in crack cocaine, and $3,900 in cash, Gerould said. Buy money was recovered, he added.

A vehicle was towed away, the police lieutenant said, and was to be searched later.

“Evidence collected today was consistent with drug sales, not drug usage,” Gerould said. “The vice unit believed he was selling larger quantities of meth out of the residence.”

Court papers do not list an attorney for Dipasquale.
