Do we think EastEnders are going to have any plans for them? They seem quite redundant and insignificant following Gray's exit.

I would personally write them out in all honesty.

Karen, Mitch, Bernie and the kids should all move away after winning big money in a competition that Karen has entered.

I don't know what the plan is, but I think Karen would make a great foster mum. It's a good way to introduce new characters to the show as well, whether permanent or temporary - I always thought it was a shame they didn't explore that more with Miriam and Arshad.

I was very annoyed they didn't make use of Miriam and Arshad good actors, decent characters that needed developing and the fostering could have opened up endless possibilities for them but they were dumped unceremoniously, it was awful imo.

Foster mum is a shout. I love Karen but the rest can go far far away. Their story is done, nobody is interested in seeing bailey growing up

I agree about Mariam and Arshad. I liked both characters and with fostering there's potential to tell some interesting stories, so it was a bit disappointing they didn't really go into much depth with that, although it did seem that both were very much part-time characters.

As far as the Taylors/Bakers are concerned, I did think the family were winding down and would exit en masse after the Gray reveal, but there seems to be no sign of that happening so I hold my hands up and admit I was wrong there! Karen and Mitch are not among my favourites but they're solid community characters which the show needs.

Be very surprised if they haven’t all been axed within the next 2 years

Can see Bernie taking the spog and moving away at some point
    Bailey is rarely seen
Mitch is just a waste of space
Karen is just marmite and is getting less screen time these days

I think a natural conclusion to the Taylors would of been if they left after the Gray reveal, like Keegan did. Bernie could have came back had her baby and wrapped that story up before leaving again. Whilst Karen and Mitch could of reunited before deciding to move away to give the kids a fresh start. Leaving space for a new family to fill the gap. Karen could even have became a recurring character who pops back to visit Sharon/Chelsea.

I think tptb view them as popular characters so they won't be going anywhere. I wouldn't be surprised if a never mentioned before niece or nephew comes out of the woodwork before long to give Karen someone else to mother.

The last time i remember when they axed a whole family was in 2014, Sadie, Jake Stone and daughter.

Felt they axed families more often in the 00s.

IIRC, Karen's last appearance was 4th May.

For their family it felt like the main focus was on Keanu, Gray, Chantelle and Keegan. With them all gone it feels like it is the secondary supporting characters left now in the family and they don't really light up the screen.

It would basically make no difference now whether the remaining family members stay or go. I don't think they will ever have as much spotlight as the family used to.

    Foster mum😳.
She’s got two children of her own she seems to have forgotten entirely.
