Joyce Lanell Naylor Beecham, 78, of Henderson passed away May 18, 2022 at Lynnfield Place Assisted Living in Selmer.
Funeral services were 11 a.m. Saturday, May 21, at Old Friendship Baptist Church with Bro. Iran Smith officiating. Burial followed in Old Friendship Cemetery. The family received friends at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue from 5-8 p.m. on Friday and from 9-11 a.m. Saturday at the Church.
She was born June 28, 1943 at home in Finger, the daughter of the late Carl and Pauline Lynch Naylor. She grew up in the Old Friendship Community.
She was married to Roy Gene Beecham on Jan. 20, 1962. She worked in the Chester County School System for about twenty years.
She was a member of the Old Friendship Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Roy Gene Beecham of Henderson; a son, Roy Gene (Connie) Beecham, Jr. of Henderson; three grandchildren, Chase Beecham, Tanner (Lauren) Beecham and Trey Beecham; two great-grandchildren, Brooks and Addy Beecham; three brothers, Frank Naylor of Finger, Gary Naylor of St. Louis and Ronald Naylor of Finger; and three sisters, Willodean Whitaker of Selmer, Kay Middleton of Finger and Devenda Frank of Henderson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Broderick “Brodie” Beecham on Sept. 4, 2020; and three sisters, Sue Roberts, Glenda Wilson and Doris Weaver.
