A Bradford County man was killed Wednesday afternoon when his vehicle collided with another car in the Borough of New Albany, south of Towanda.

Pennsylvania State Police at Towanda identified the victim as Stephen J. Rockwell, 68, of Canton.

The crash took place around 12:40 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Front Street and Hatch Hill Road in New Albany, troopers said.

At the time of the crash, a car operated by Gerald L. Cummiskey, 63, of New Albany was northbound on Front Street when Cummiskey attempted to make a left hand turn onto Hatch Hill Road.

Rockwell was traveling south on Front Street and struck Cummiskey's vehicle head-on, state police said.
