If there’s a common denominator for all of Stranger Things star Sadie Sink’s looks, it’s pants. Whether it’s a red carpet appearance, a night out with friends, or hanging out with her dog, Sink has mastered the art of the comfortable trouser and casual short. In fact, she admits to wearing her one and only pair of highly cherished overalls three or four times a week. “They’re a staple at this point.” In addition to casual denim coveralls, Sink likes to keep comfortable yet polished in what she calls “sweatpant slacks.”
Sink somehow effortlessly achieves both a youthful sensibility and sophisticated style, transitioning from a millennial pink Miu Miu shorts suit for a summer day to a sharp Saint Laurent cropped blazer, pair of Levi’s, and heels for a night out. All that and more of what Sadie Sink wears in a week, below.
Monday: Girls’ Night Out
On her night out with friends, she claims that a pair of jeans, a blazer, maybe a heel, maybe a sneaker is what she calls a “standard Sadie outfit.” The shoes, of course, depend on how she’s feeling. Sink demonstrates high and low style effortlessly with a sharp Saint Laurent blazer and a pair of classic wash Levi’s.
Tuesday: Summertime Sadie
What does Sadie Sink wear come summer? A full millennial pink Miu Miu look, of course. It’s an ensemble she says she’s been “dying to wear for awhile.” And while she doesn’t avoid certain colors, Sink typically sticks to a neutral color palette. On wearing a pink suit, Sadie adds it was “just too fun, so I had to.”
Wednesday: Red Carpet
Sink wore Chanel to her first-ever premiere for season two of Stranger Things and wears the house any chance she can get. For red carpet attire, Sink gravitates toward a chic black or white look for major moments, but when it comes to posing, “I go out there and wing it every time.”
Thursday: Press Junkets and Meetings
For press junkets and work meetings, Sink opts for a youthful take on the classic button-up as well as a pair of comfortable heels, and what she likes to call “sweatpant slacks.” For a sophisticated approach to accessorizing, she adds one of her favorite bags of all time from Stella McCartney.
Friday: On the Go
“I go through different tote bag stages,” Sink says on her travel bag of choice. In addition to an oversized Acne Studios Bomber jacket and Dad sneakers from P448, you won’t find Sadie on the go without her giant headphones, makeup wipes, and a couple of spare masks.
Saturday: Athleisure
Whether she’s on the way to work out or walking the dog, comfort is key. “I purposely bought this [denim jacket] two sizes too big because I wanted it to be oversized.” Sink pairs her monochromatic Alo set with a pair of tan Hoka’s, adding, “they’re the most comfortable things in the world.”
Sunday: Just Can’t Get Enough
When it comes to the item in her wardrobe Sadie can’t stop wearing, it’s a pair of denim overalls. “Comfort plus durability plus cuteness equals overalls,” she says. “I’m embarrassed to admit how much I wear these,” Sink laughs, “I think I wear them a little bit too much.” She tops them off with a black Jacquemus bucket hat and a pair of studded Prada creepers.
