Chicago Fire season 10 finale spoilers follow.

The 10th season of Chicago Fire wrapped on Wednesday (May 26), and fans will be glad to know that Kelly Severide and Stella Kidd are officially married. It's been a long time coming, but of course, that doesn't mean it didn't go without a hitch or two.

The first was short-lived thanks to Severide's best friend Matthew Casey (Jesse Spencer), who recently left the show but returned to see his best friend tie the knot. Luckily he showed up, because when the wedding venue became unavailable at short notice, Casey came up with a solution, finding a ship captain to marry the couple on a boat.

Then, the moment we've all been waiting for since the couple officially began dating in season 6 finally arrived when 'Stellaride' stood at the altar and exchanged their vows.

"The simple truth is that you are magic to me. Whenever I'm at my lowest, you lift me up. You never leave my side," said Stella.

"I decided a long time ago that if I was going to be with you, I needed to be worthy of you, which seemed impossible,” Severide declared. "You made sure that you really knew me, and by some miracle, you still love me. Stella, I might never be worthy of you, but I promise to spend the rest of my life trying."

That wasn't the only emotional exchange of words, though. Sylvie Brett and Casey talked about their future, with Casey admitting that he wished Brett could stay in Portland with him forever. But she remarked that he's where he's meant to be, a father and fighting wildfires, while her life remains in Chicago.

"How much longer can we keep this up with so much time apart?" Brett said.

"I don't know. But we're together tonight," Casey replied.

The episode ended on a big cliffhanger, when several trucks arrived at the cabin where the newlyweds were spending their first night together, most likely the dangerous drug dealers who had a vendetta against Severide.

It looks like we're just going to have to wait and see what happens when the show returns for season 11 in the autumn.

Chicago Fire airs on NBC in the US and on Sky Witness in the UK.
