East Central Avenue building featured in Throwback Thursday

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Today we take a look back to the 1950s, and the Lafollette Paper Box Company located on East Central Ave.

Many people probably never knew that there was a paper box factory in Lafollette, There are still people today that talk about someone they knew who worked there. The company was owned and operated by W.G. Arhanes.

The Lafollette Paper Box Company closed in the late 1960s. The building has housed several businesses over the years, including the East Tennessee Auction Company, Myers’ Discount Mart and now the Pierce Furniture Gallery.
