ED - David and Victoria
Boring!!!!
So after her having loved him forever or whatever rubbish before their lengthy (and enjoyable for me) absence, they are suddenly the old married slippers and cocoa couple too knackered for anything by the faceless kids......
Pairing doesn't work.
Think he would be better moving to a new village as he probably has run out of potential partners within the village, and she could join a commune to celebrate misery combined with nusybody noseying......never to be seen again.
Happy days.
Their absence proved we don't actually need them!

I thought Victoria was completely in the right. They've only been together 7 months. David has two marriages behind him already. He's addicted to being in love, rather than actually loving any one person. It always has to be on his terms and when it's not new or exciting or dramatic (like getting married) then he's bored.
If they do split up, I wonder is that to do with what happened in real life? Maybe the actors don't want to work together anymore?
Yes, horrible. Victoria could at least have appreciated the trouble David had gone to on her behalf and said 'Thankyou, but it is too sudden and I need to think about it'.
Emmerdale must be the worst show for Cliches.
I think it's ironic David a serial proposer, proposes and she expresses doubts and then he makes out she's got the problem and needs to sort herself out.
Agreed. Full of tired played-out characters; the programme could do with a good culling
Agreed! David loves love, not other people. Hasn't Jacob called him out on it before as well? Also I was thinking - if two parents live together and one is exhausted perhaps the other one should step up a bit and help more with the kids, even the load out? Rather than plan late night dates. But that's too practical for David, not flashy enough.
That said, I am not a fan of either David or Victoria, and I think all the secrecy about whatever happened IRL didn't help.
This is true. Its actually smart of her to be cautious when it comes to his track record with women. And because they've hardly been on screen since becoming a couple its hard to tell if there is actually anything different about this relationship to suggest it'll last any longer than his others. The only real thing that got them together is having children the same age and having the same responsibilities. That being said I don't mind them as a couple and I do like the characters. It *could* work but they'd need to invest some time into showing some sort of lasting passion and spark between them.
I guess in some ways it is fitting that these 2 useless, utterly thick, bores are with each other, to spare others from having to put up with them. But I wish that Queen Meena could have broken through their impenetrable plot armour and eliminated both of them a while back.
I thought it was telling how little either character was missed during the 3 month absence.
In ED never find one!!!
Agreed. It was a bit abrupt how Victoria acted to someone she apparently loves. Letting David down genitally would have been the best option. I also think David was acting like a spoilt brat though after.
Unfortunate typo there but seeing as it’s related to David it’s kind of appropriate. He does act like a big set of genitals
Bit like watching Steve Mcdonald on CS.
Wheel him and her off.
We didn't miss them, they haven't brought anything of value to ED by returning, and they are by far not the best actors in the show
I agree with another poster.....time for a cull. And half the spoilt teenagers can go with them!!
I'm not sure he has a full set after his testicular cancer storyline.
All that said, I find it totally in character that David is already bored but trying to turn that onto Victoria whilst professing never ending love and making grand gestures.
It is how he is in every relationship but at least they are referencing it on screen this time.
In just the last 10ish years he has believed Leyla, Alicia, Priya, Tracy, Maya and now Vic to be 'the one' and wanted to marry them.
Then he goes off them, usually with the next 'thee on e' already on his radar.
It's such a weird scenario. When Victoria lived alone I can't remember her going on about being so exhausted but now she is in a couple she can barely cope. Weird, very weird.
