She was afraid for herself and her children for the past year and a half but admittedly didn't do everything she could to stop it until the morning of April 22.

That's when a Palm Beach County sheriff's deputy arrived at her home in Wellington to investigate a delayed criminal mischief complaint.

He wrote in the arrest report, “[The victim] was once again having problems with her ex, Moises Diaz Sedano. The two have been broken up since January, 2021. Since then, [the victim] has had to call for police assistance approximately 17 times for various calls including disturbances, suspicious incidents and persons, criminal mischief, trespassing, domestic disputes, and harassing phone calls.

"Mr. Diaz Sedano was arrested on 3/27/2021 for domestic battery, burglary, witness tampering and battery on law enforcement officers." CBS12 News found Diaz Sedano was going to be charged with battery and resisting without violence on that date.

“Since then, Mr. Diaz Sedano has on multiple occasions called and text harassing comments. He has been found waiting for [the victim] at her home. He has stopped by unannounced, pounding on her door, scaring her children, and her vehicle has now been vandalized twice. Both times, he was seen in the area prior to the damage being discovered. The damage was quite significant with the first time being the entire passenger side of her vehicle scratched up and the second her windshield smashed.

declined to prosecute this case as well as several other incidents

“On 7/4/2021, [the victim]'s Ring doorbell camera captured Mr. Diaz Sedano once again pounding on her front door. She arrived home to find a front door smashed open and her clothes thrown off the balcony into the front parking lot. [The victim] declined to prosecute this case as well as several other incidents as she revealed to me that she was in fear for her and her children's lives. She explained that Mr. Diaz Sedano always told her that he would kill her and him if she ever had him arrested.

he would confess his love to her or threaten her

“In between all those incidents, Mr. Diaz Sedano would call and text her from his number as well as other blocked or unidentifiable numbers where he would confess his love to her or threaten her and her family.

“On 8/7/2021, 11/9/2021, 4/3/2022, and 4/16/2022, domestic disputes reports were completed when Mr. Diaz Sedano was seen at [the victim]'s home either waiting for her or pounding on her door but most times left before deputies arrived.

“On the evening of 4/22/2022, [the victim] provided a copy of a voicemail where she immediately recognized the voice to be that of Mr. Diaz Sedano once again threatening her and her children's lives. She very much believes he's capable of murdering her and her family.

she is finally ready to cooperate and prosecute

“The repeated stalking and harassment has been wearing on [the victim] to the point that she is emotionally drained and in constant fear for her and her children's safety. She stated she is finally ready to cooperate and prosecute Mr. Diaz Sedano as he has been given many warnings and chances to change his behavior and leave her alone.”

According to the deputy who wrote the report, “There is overwhelming documented history of harassment and criminal complaints going back a year and a half supporting the criminal course of conduct directed at [the victim] by Mr. Diaz Sedano. This course of conduct has been willful malicious, and repetitive, coupled with the credible threat of violence makes this aggravated stalking.”

Moises Diaz Sedano, 36, was booked late on April 27 and released almost 24 hours later.
