    I think he's great. I wish he'd actually been Sonia's dad though.

What I will say is that I forget he is Brian Conley which is a sign he is good. Shane Ritchie was always just Shane Ritchie to me rather than Alfie, but I've not felt that with Brian at all.

Don't see the point in him and him being Dotty's dad. Pointless claptrap.

I've liked Rocky's scenes with Harvey recently, and I appreciate the little friendship group of those two, Mitch, Mick and sometimes Billy that's formed recently. EE was sorely lacking friendships so that's something which was needed. I'd rather he and Kathy weren't together (she really could do a lot better in my opinion!) but can't deny the genuine chemistry between Brian Conley and Gillian Taylforth.

Not sure why they did Rocky being Dotty's dad as the big Christmas Day revelation and have proceeded to go nearly half a year with a handful of blink-and-you'll-miss-them references and the entire story going precisely nowhere. He's grown on me but at the same time he'll never be one of my favourites thanks to the way he treated Sonia (yes Dotty was a massive part of that too but at least she's not portrayed as some lovable friend to all).

Brian Conley is a natural fit for EE though.

No. It’s Alfie mark 2.0. I’d. Rather we was Sonia’s dad then this whole lie after lie stuff.

I love Rocky as a character and love how Brian Conley plays him. In some ways it's a shame he isn't actually Sonia's dad as it would've been a far better story than the ridiculous fakery plotline.

I don't actually have an issue with his being Dotty's father. I could never stand Nick Cotton anyway and now we're seeing a more compassionate side to Dotty and Rocky himself is a much nicer man than Nick, it sort of adds up. I just wish they'd get on with the story instead of leaving it hanging.

I can see some moving scenes between Tom and Dotty playing out but EE seem to have their focus elsewhere and have done for a while. Why plant the idea if they're not going to follow through or if it's nonsense and Sandy was lying, let's have it out in the open.

He's perfect for EE in my opinion. A handsome addition for some of us women "of a certain age" and a great fit for Kathy. Would like them to have the only successful marriage (I'm not counting Jack and Denise since they so rarely even share scenes together) on the Square.

I don't mind Rocky in some of his interactions, especially with Kathy and Harvey. I really can't forget the premise on which he entered and find his "cheekie chappy" patter really annoying. He does remind of Alfie Moon in that respect and just don't find it entertaining, but that's just me. I can't understand his quest to win Sonia over. Surely if he just accepted the magnitude of what he did and gave her space, he'd have a better chance of forgiveness. But constantly forcing his company on her at every opportunity is getting old, fast.

Agreed with this. He just won't leave her alone and let her come to terms with things in her own time, instead trying to force things with increasingly elaborate stunts. He did much the same thing to Kathy. I'm dreading the prospect of her forgiving him because he manages to get the royals to the Square (which is where it looks like it's heading at the moment).

Brian and Rocky are the perfect fit for EastEnders! It is a shame that he's not Sonia's real dad, however I think they will eventually rekindle their original bond. It's already in progress with Kathy's recent softening toward him again and his current efforts with Peter. Sonia, understandably, is a tough nut to crack, but I'm certain she will eventually.

I also think Rocky is the perfect candidate to replace Mick in the Vic! I was originally hoping that he and Shirley would be paired up, but I think he and Kathy would also fit as landlords. I hope Brian stays with the show long term.

What was the point of the reveal that he could be Dotty’s dad? Since that reveal happened nothing has really happened since. I find him a bit pointless since everything came out about the con.

The TPTB kind have trapped themselves in a corner by making Rocky’s introduction to the show as part of a con. His chemistry with Sonia as a father/daughter really worked. As they insisted on seeing the con reveal through that meant his relationship with Sonia was effectively ruined

I expected Brian to have left by now but he appears to be enjoying his time at Eastenders. If he’s there for the long term then they may need to try and re-establish his relationship with Sonia

Yes, I am now. Well, let me clarify that - I have been enjoying him since the con stuff has gone away, or at least I was until the royal stuff started up.

I really like Rocky, I just wish he was Sonia’s real dad. Like others have said above, it was stupid and pointless him being Dotty’s. Like Sonia wouldn’t have taken a selfie of them together and sent it to Carol or FaceTimed her before Christmas to say her dad is back in her life?
