2 Trade Packages To Send Christian Wood To Golden State Warriors

This offseason is going to be a very interesting one for the Golden State Warriors. Regardless of how the 2022 NBA Playoffs turn out, they are going to have a lot of difficult decisions to make when it comes to the roster for the 2022-23 season.

Golden State has several rotation players that are hitting free agency in Otto Porter Jr., Gary Payton II and Kevon Looney. Andre Iguodala, Nemanja Bjelica, Damion Lee and Juan Toscano-Anderson are also hitting free agency.

Bringing all of those players back is unrealistic. Porter and Payton likely priced themselves out of Golden State, meaning one of them will probably be playing elsewhere next season. Jordan Poole is also eligible for an extension this offseason, which could approach $20 million annually.

Navigating that while searching out players to bring in from other teams will make for a busy offseason for Bob Meyers. The trade market is where they will have to do most of their work, as they do not have the cap space to sign players outright.
