Two crashes on Long Island left a pedestrian dead and a motorcyclist in critical condition, police say.

Two crashes on Long Island left a pedestrian dead and a motorcyclist in critical condition, police say.
A pedestrian was fatally struck by a car on Motor Parkway in Central Islip Wednesday afternoon.
Police have not yet released the victim's name.
The second incident happened when a motorcyclist collided with a car on Peninsula Boulevard in Lynbrook.
The motorcyclist, 31, was left in critical condition.
The 89-year-old driver of the car was taken to the hospital for evaluation.
