The Indianapolis Colts have made numerous moves in the hopes of becoming a playoff contender once again. With a strong defense coupled with a decent offense, they'll have a legitimate shot in the upcoming season. However, they could use a boost from their prospects to get them over the hump to win the AFC South once again. We take a look at one undrafted free agent who will make the Colts' 2022 roster.

There aren't too many holes on the team right now as the front office has managed to build a decent roster for the upcoming season. The defense is stacked throughout and the offense is likely to be a run-first scheme with Jonathan Taylor leading the way. The front office reeled in Matt Ryan via trade, which hopefully improves the passing attack. Regardless, the wide receiver room is still lacking.

Michael Pittman is easily the best receiver on the roster right now, which doesn't bode well considering he'd be a second option for most other franchises. The Colts are hopeful someone will step up, especially Alec Pierce who was selected in the second round of the NFL Draft. Even so, the front office signed multiple undrafted free agents to add to the wide receiver room. Perhaps they'll find a gem through training camp?

With that said, here is our one undrafted free agent who will make the Colts' 2022 roster.

Colts Undrafted Free Agent To Make 2022 Roster

Kekoa Crawford

Indianapolis hopes to improve the passing game but is lacking weapons in the wide receiver room. Kekoa Crawford could be a surprise stand out for the Colts, as he brings plenty of collegiate experience to the table. Although he missed a ton of games throughout his career, Crawford has a chance to make up for it at the professional level.

After spending two years at the University of Michigan, Kekoa Crawford transferred to California. In the three years playing for Cal, Crawford recorded 75 receptions, 1,017 receiving yards, and four touchdowns. He only played 21 total games, which isn't ideal. However, he proved to be a reliable pass option in the 2021 season. He'll have a chance to prove himself on the Colts, as they could use his experience on the roster.

Outside of Michael Pittman, Alec Pierce, and Parris Campbell, Indianapolis will essentially have an open competition at the wide receiver position. It'll be an uphill battle for Kekoa Crawford, as he's in direct competition with eight other receivers. Even so, he has a real chance at winning a spot on the final roster, as the Colts hope to find standout pass options for the future.

Crawford might not make a huge impact in year one, as he has plenty of work to do before becoming a starting-caliber receiver in the NFL. However, the undrafted free agent could turn some heads for special teams to kick off his career. After proving he can be a valuable target with limited opportunities, the Colts will give Kekoa Crawford a chance to prove himself in training camp.

Keep an eye on this young rookie. If he can string together a strong camp and separate himself from the other receivers on the current roster, we could see Kekoa Crawford playing for the Colts in the 2022 season. It's up to him to capitalize on this opportunity, as Indianapolis could use all of the help they can get in the passing game.
