Tacoma-based Prosperity Wellness Center is celebrating its 30th anniversary as a leading behavioral health treatment center in the Pacific Northwest.
Established in 1992 with a main focus on veterans struggling with PTSD and other disorders, the center expanded over the years to treat patients between 18-70 years old battling everything from addiction to psychiatric and behavioral health diseases.
Included in the Discovery Behavioral Health Inc. network of providers located across the U.S., Prosperity Wellness Center offers services to Medicaid and Medicare patients whether they have non-government health coverage or not.
The center, which is also contracted by the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) among others, was able to remain open during the pandemic by setting swift and rigorous safety rules.
“We have the ability to handle most disorders, but our focus is on co-occurring disorders involving substance use, mental health and historic trauma,” executive director Suzanne Sukauskas said in a release. “Our treatment programs cultivate the creation of a recovery cycle process, to promote balanced living and to interrupt the addiction behavioral cycle.”
