Sistas Star Chris Warren Teases More Hayden Hatefulness in Season 4B
When Chris Warren first started portraying Hayden Moss on Tyler Perry‘s Sistas, the character was a lot like Zeke, the affable teen the actor played in Disney’s High School Musical movies.
But as time went on, Hayden became more and more sinister as he plotted against Zac and Fatima, aka “Zatima.” Warren, who says he is loving every minute of his character’s wickedness, adds that the attorney is going to get a lot worse when the hit BET drama returns for Season 4B on Wednesday, June 1 at 9/8c.
“It makes me really happy that Hayden is the most hated man on Sistas,” Warren reveals to TVLine. “That means I’m doing something right. In the beginning, it really wasn’t like that. Hayden was a flirty guy, and he and Fatima had a bit of a history, and they just worked together, and Hayden was going to help her out. I really didn’t see the turn to villain happening, but it happened very quickly, and I’m very happy about it. This is the first time I’ve gotten to play somebody that’s so grimy. It’s been really fun getting to play somebody like that and being hated by so many people. It’s just been nice.”
Warren, whose mother is famous soap star Brook Kerr, can’t spoil any plot twists when it comes to what Hayden has in store — but he promises it won’t be pretty.
“Hayden is going to take things to the next level,” Warren foreshadows. “If he was taking things far before, wait for him to take things much further. Hayden just wants to win at all costs. If that means he has to win against Fatima, or Zac or Robin, it doesn’t matter. It’s all about his ego. He’s got to win, no matter what.”
In that way, Hayden and Gary are a lot alike, Warren observes.
“Hayden is even more hated than Gary, but they both have a belief that they can’t lose,” the actor explains. “That’s why people hate them. They’re both very petty and built from the same ego-driven kind of stock. That’s what is so great about the way Tyler [Perry] writes these characters. At the end of the day, Hayden and Gary are hated for a reason.”
Fan hatred for Hayden is so strong, fans cheered for his perceived death at the end of Season 3, and one Twitter user even created a funeral program mocking his demise. It’s a level of vitriol that makes Warren proud.
“It helps that I’ve never had a Twitter account,” Warren surmises with a chuckle. “I see the screenshots and the funny memes, but not being on Twitter helps. Honestly, because he’s so vile, I take it as a compliment because I make it hard to like him. If I’m doing my job correctly, that means you should really, really hate Hayden. I’m happy about it. I don’t have a mustache to twirl, so I work my eyebrows. Once I get in front of that camera as Hayden, all sorts of stuff starts happening. It is all a part of his affect, and it is part of what people hate about him. I make his face very punchable.”

He’s so right about him and Gary being hated but, don’t leave Karen out. Their characters had me so pissed off I stopped watching for awhile and I’ll probably stop watching again. All in all I know it’s television but there’s actually people in real life doing some of that mess

Hayden and Gary needs to go they both are crazy and enough is enough will never change so drop them please.

Hayden, I knew you resembled someone I had seen in the past and to know your mother is Brook Kerr, I love her because she is an amazing actress that I got to watch every day on Passions until it went off the air. Best wishes to you and your acting career!
Karen needs to go on with her life without Zack he belongs to Fatima now. She needs physiatrist I don’t believe she pregnant at all. I’m glad Zack don’t want her anymore. I’m sick of women and men tearing do a good person for their own selfish reasons. Jealousy and loving to be superior. is there reason but to be honest they don’t love themselves that’s why they try tearing down others to make themselves feel better. Aaron is trying so hard to love on Karen but she is gonna miss out on something good chasing someone that don’t want her. If she is pregnant it’s Aaron’s. Andi should not take Gary Back he’s done. Gary has not changed and won’t. He sneaky and conniving, leave him in the dust where the FBI agents left her when they arrested him. Andi should move on to riches and find herself, live for Andi and nobody else. Sabrina is trying to find herself. She likes Calvin and is intrigued with what they have going. Yes, explore the rich guy but money don’t always make you happy. Be happy rather than miserable with money cause all you gonna spend it in is drugs and alcohol and you don’t want to deal with that. it’s a whole new head and heartache. Danni and Preston Danni made some good points and she should take her time with Preston I think she can mold him into what she needs. He seems to be willing to do anything to be with her. Maurice I love him. But he needs someone who truly loves him for him. Pam should keep doing what she doing she is so funny to me. She be on point with her nosiness. Now Hayden he deserves everything Zatima does to him. I hope she wack his but with that bat she used on his car. And post is naked pictures of him lying on the car beat up so the firm can be embarrassed and fire him… lol Morris needs a kick in the but.. stay in your lane sideways attorney. Lisa Karen mother needs to come Andi slap her daughter back to reality. she needs that mother daughter talk before she end up in the physic ward. Jacobi don’t have a leg to stand on he just put. I lOVE THIS SHOW. TYLER KEEP IT UP AND I CAN’T WAIT FOR THE SPIN OFF WITH ZACK AND FATIMA “ZATIMA” YES I’M SCREAMING I’M SO EXCITED AND CAN’T WAIT FOR IT TO COME ON.

Karen, I wholeheartedly enjoyed reading your post, I love the show as well. I concur on that Hayden should move on with his life,quite frankly in he had fractured the male persona of the confident, stable black man image that we are in real life these days. But the is television, so I will have an open mind and be flexible. I am anxiously anticipating how this is going to unfold as it relates to his ( Hayden) constant meddling. No comment on the Karen/ Zack saga, obviously someone is having a difficult time coping with reality as you alluded to. The show should be a top rated show in that slot on Wednesday, we will see, God bless everyone, will enjoy the series once it starts (June 1).

Carolyn, I enjoyed reading your post, my sincerest apologies for calling you Karen, however I agree with you on the saga with Hayden harassing Zac and Fatima, it is a bad look for a man lacking grit, confidence, stability in his life. This is television, not real life, but it is his character,which we will see how this unfolds in the scheduled episodes to come. The Karen situation is a simple case of failing to accept reality, this is TV, so that in itself , I find hilarious, funny just to mention a few things. So done with this corny storyline of Hayden believing that he is rescuing a woman that in his mind he believes is his. Yes we know he is a stalker and we have proof by one of the firm partners (Andi)that Hayden has bugged the firm’s phones so why isn’t he going to jail, instead of Fatima becoming Jr. Madea and Madam from All the Queens Men. So now what? A repeat of The Oval where Hayden gets away with alot of criminal activity as he sets up Zac and Fatima over and over? Boring!!!. And Gary has been done. In fact all of the Sistas have been done. These women has accomplished nothing from season 1 until now. Gary is still manipulating Andi and she is still buying up his mess. Karen is still wanting to boomerang Zac back and forth into a relationship, Karen said it herself, he always comes back. Sabrina is still questioning Calvin’s sexuality and his feminine mannerisms, even though Sabrina knows that what satisfies Calvin Sabrina is not into and Danni is still getting high and sleeping around. They have all had opportunities to better themselves but the storylines deverted from showing these women in a more positive light. That’s why fans have fallen in love with Fatima. A strong, independent, confident, secure, self aware and self reliant black woman who needs no one to make her happy or to create her happiness. Fatima is such a brethe of fresh air from the Sistas whiny, abused, needy, low self esteem, lacking value, self aware and pride for themselves that fans have said that if Zatima ends so will their support for the show.Zatima is the show and not the 4 women who have done nothing but waste time since they were introduced to us in season one. What a bad look for the black women who have fought hard and are still fighting against the stereotypes that these characters are depicting.

I don’t watch this show but. . .I certainly remember him as Jimmy Ramirez on “The Bold and the Beautiful. ” Nice to know he’s moved on to he’s secured a Prime Time job.

Hayden means NOTHING to this story. I’m not excited at all. Whatever he has plitted, My girl, Fatima got it! Gary on the other hand, He’s the one to watch for. His twisted ass gone get Andi caught up.
Every time Hayden did something shady to Zac and Fatima l wanted to jump into my TV and ‘Sock’ him myself. He is a pain in the a.. But I’m looking forward for tonight’s episode.
So tired of Karen whining and crying over a man that she said to him :” that he was sorry no good and she did not want him anymore” She is the movie Acrimony all over again!!
Warren is incredibly tone deaf as why people hate the character of Hayden, it is so not because people feel he can’t lose, that’s laughable. A lot People are intuitively apt at seeing evil in others whether it’s in acting or in real life. Hayden is smarmy, he’s not at all like Gary, Gary who I’m not a fan of, just has insecurities he needs to deal with and Hayden I has to much security in himself that’s not warranted nor True.
