Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady is enjoying this 2022 offseason way better than last year's. While he was celebrating his seventh Super Bowl title at the time, it was a difficult stretch for him both physically and mentally as he had to undergo knee surgery.

To recall, Brady underwent MCL surgery to repair a tear in his left knee that he sustained during his final year with the New England Patriots. He basically played through it during their championship run, hoping it will eventually heal (albeit to no avail). Now that he's having a healthy offseason, the Buccaneers star is clearly in the best condition of his life.

“Last year was pretty tough, just from basically having the MCL reconstruction, and I basically tore it in my last season in New England and I went the whole offseason with a torn MCL,” Brady said, per Pro Football Talk.

“I didn’t get a reconstruction, because I thought it would just heal back. So I didn’t do anything. The following year, I just taped it, basically, every day. And then finally getting it reconstructed last year, it felt for the first time this offseason, it’s been really good.”

This is certainly good news for the Buccaneers. After failing to defend their title in 2021, they have their eyes set on returning to the promised land and reclaiming the Super Bowl trophy. To do that, however, they will need a healthy and focused Tom Brady.

Fortunately, TB12 is in great shape. He even showed his batting skills recently when he worked out with Rob Gronkowski. With the way things are trending, it's not hard to see Tampa Bay going back to their dominant ways as soon as the 2022 season begins.
