Mt. Pleasant woman facing felony drug charges

MT. PLEASANT, IOWA (KHQA) —
A Mt. Pleasant woman is facing felony and misdemeanor drug-related charges.

Clara Swackhammer, 33, was arrested on Monday in the 300 block of Main St. in Keokuk.

Swackhammer's charges:
- One count of Delivery of a Controlled Substance (methamphetamine) more than 5 grams, a class C Felony,
- One count of Possession with Intent to Deliver (methamphetamine) more than 5 grams, a class C Felony
- One count of Unlawful possession of a Prescription Drug, a Serious Misdemeanor
- Two counts of a Drug Tax Stamp Violation, both are class D Felonies.
Swackhammer's arrest stems from an investigation by the Lee County Narcotics Task Force into allegations that she was involved in the distribution of illegal drugs in the Lee County area.

The Lee County Attorney’s Office, Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement, the Keokuk Police Department, and the Lee County Sheriff’s Office assisted the Lee County Narcotics Task Force in these investigations.
