CINCINNATI (WKRC) - Perhaps no professional sports all-star game has become more irrelevant than the NFL's Pro Bowl, which is why according to a report the league this week is discussing ways to improve it and possibly eliminate it altogether.

Former Bengals standout wide receiver Chad Johnson has his own idea to make fans pay attention to the game.
“Have the current pro bowlers play against the past era of pro bowlers,” Johnson wrote on Twitter, “like an old school vs new school, don’t even need pads, can be flag formatted, would break the viewing ratings for a Pro Bowl easily."
The 2022 Pro Bowl averaged 6.69 million viewers across ABC, ESPN and DisneyXD. It’s the lowest average viewership for the game since 2006.
