Cannon's “hateful speech” and anti-Semitic conspiracy theories led ViacomCBS to cut ties with the performer, the media giant said. “ViacomCBS condemns bigotry of any kind and we categorically denounce all forms of anti-Semitism," the company said in a statement Tuesday, July 14, 2020. It’s no secret “Wild “N Out” and “The Masked Singer” show host Nick Cannon is not into monogamy. Though being the best dad he can be to his several children seems more his speed.

– and an additional child he’s expecting later this year after the loss of his 5-month-old son, Zen –

But when it comes to the possibility of getting married once again in a legal sense, Cannon, who was on the “It’s Tricky with Raquel Harper” podcast, was quick to shut that down.

“It depends on what you call marriage. Getting the government involved, nah. We can go have a ceremony somewhere,” Cannon said. “Why would government be involved in your life? That seems so bizarre to me. It’s really a business and to bring business and love together, that’s a tough one to get involved with,” Yahoo reported.

Cannon was married to pop icon Mariah Carey from 2008 to 2016 and shared 11-year-old twins Monroe and Morrocan.

Recalling what his first marriage was like to Carey, Cannon considered the singer to be one of his “best friends” and has a great deal of “respect” for her. Moreover, he would not consider such a union again.

“That to me was one of the greatest experiences of my life and for that to come to an end as well, why would I go back if I couldn’t make that work out right?,” he said.

“Once I gave my all to a scenario, going forward, I’d have to be presented with something I’ve never seen before in order to go back to something like that,” he continued. “I did my best in this space, and now I feel like there’s a new journey in my life. I’m not going to backtrack and put myself in that situation again because it doesn’t get better than that.”

According to Yahoo, Cannon admitted that he still hasn’t fully healed from their very public divorce because he viewed it as a failure.

“Divorce is a sense of, ‘You failed’ and when you have that level of failure with everyone seeing it, it was a lot on me for a long time,” Cannon said. “I didn’t really know how to process it. I had to go find myself. I had to go within.”
