Loki Season 2: Tom Hiddleston Reveals the Return of the Whole Cast

Loki’s brother, Thor, is currently in the limelight with his upcoming Thor: Love and Thunder. Still, Loki has that competitive spirit, right? Season 2 is already building up for his very own show, Loki, and it would be dealing with how the multiverse ended up when Sylvie killed He Who Remains in the finale of the first season.

In a recent interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the titular character, Tom Hiddleston teased that the whole cast of Loki will be back for Season 2, Kimmel asked, “So the whole cast, as we’ve learned, is returning.” Tom Hiddleston, without a doubt, replied, “Yes.”

He moved on to explain why the production moved from Atlanta to London, “I think it was just an accident of scheduling, but I’m thrilled about it, yeah.” Even Kevin Feige has confirmed this one but will everyone include the different variants of Loki such as Boastful Loki, Kid Loki and Alligator Loki? Well, that’s another talk for a different day.

Season 2 is expected to pick-up from where the show ended in Season 1 where Sophia Di Martino’s Sylvie killed He Who Remains, causing a Nexus event to happen within the Sacred Timeline, even setting up the future of the multiverse as different realities branched out of the Sacred Timeline. The TVA will return, too.

The fourth phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been setting up the multiverse and Loki looks at it in a much closer manner given that the Nexus event that Sylvie caused would definitely bring in more questions.

The filming of Loki starts on June 6, 2022 for Season 2 but while there is already a date for the production of the series, there is still no release date attached to the project yet.

Loki Season 1 is currently streaming on Disney Plus.
