Police seek suspect involved in hit-and-run injury of 8-year-old child

PACIFICA (KCBS RADIO) – An unknown suspect injured an 8-year-old child in a hit-and-run last week in Pacifica.

The Pacifica Police Department is now asking for the public's help in identifying the perpetrator, according to a release issued by the department on Tuesday.

On May 19, at around 4:25 p.m., a child was chasing a ball that had gotten into the street at the 600 block of Manor Drive.

They were then struck by a passing vehicle, which fled the scene.

The child was rushed to a nearby hospital and was treated for their injuries and later released.

The vehicle involved in the collision has been described as a silver Honda Accord or something similar. It was last seen driving westbound on Manor Drive.

Officers with the Pacifica Police Department are calling for any witnesses who stopped to help to please reach out with any further information they may have about the incident.
