The Philadelphia Eagles are looking pretty stacked ahead of the 2022-2023 season. They spent the offseason finding talent through free agency and the 2022 NFL Draft to fill the holes in their roster.

The roster is relatively finalized, with Jalen Hurts as the starting quarterback. Howie Roseman and Nick Sirianni made it very clear at the conclusion of the 2021-2022 season that he is their guy.

Former Eagles coach Andy Reid backed the Eagles' decision in a recent interview with JAKIB Sports. He voiced his support for the young quarterback, quote transcriptions courtesy of Philly Voice.

“The one thing you got there is a guy that's willing to work hard and wants to be great. He sincerely wants to do well. That's the foundation and with the coaching he's getting that's gonna take place,” Reid said.

At only 23 years old, Hurts proved to be remarkable during his first season as the Eagles' starting quarterback. Even with this, some fans are still skeptical of the Eagles' commitment to the quarterback.

Reid said that his team and coach need to stick by him and support him, no matter what backlash comes their way.

“Everybody just has to hang with him, and [Nick Sirianni] will deflect some of the stuff that you have to deflect from the public until it feels like he's grounded all the way. Then he flies from there.”

With talent surrounding him, Hurts is in a great spot to prove himself this season.
