ELK CITY - On Saturday, May 21, eight hard-working volunteers from the Snake-Clearwater Rivers Chapter of Trout Unlimited joined Forest Service employees to plant approximately 270 trees at Red River Campground on the Red River Ranger District.

According to the Forest Service, these trees, planted by the volunteers for their annual "Plant a Tree" project, will eventually buffer the campground from the road, providing an improved experience for visitors.

The Forest Service would like to extend a big thank you to all of the Trout Unlimited Snake-Clearwater Rivers Chapter volunteers and Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forest employees listed below that worked to bring this project together.
