Hotels are opening across the country, including three new properties for Best Western.

The Inn at Chocolate Avenue, SureStay Collection by Best Western has opened its doors in Hummelstown, PA. The property completed a $1.5-million renovation and features 122 guestrooms—two of which are suites—complete with flat-screen televisions, microwaves and mini fridges. Other amenities include an outdoor pool, complimentary continental breakfast and free wireless internet.

The property is close to Hersheypark, Hershey’s Chocolate World, ZooAmerica, Hershey Theatre, the Hershey Story museum and Giant Center.

The SureStay Hotel by Best Western Lewiston has opened its doors in Lewiston, ME, after a $1.2-million renovation. The updated hotel includes 62 guestrooms with new mattresses, refreshed decor, flat-screen televisions, microwaves and mini fridges. The hotel also offers guest laundry, complimentary continental breakfast and free wireless internet.

Also open in Maine is the Best Western Plus Rumford Falls in Rumford. The newly constructed property is owned by Pennacook Falls Investments Ltd. and has 63 total guestrooms, 12 of which are deluxe suites.

The hotel is located in Maine’s Western mountains and pays homage to the area’s local history, featuring photographic artwork that showcases Rumford’s natural beauty and reclaimed lumber from the site’s previous structure incorporated into the lobby’s trim work. Each of the hotel’s guestrooms comes complete with a large flat-screen television, mini fridge, coffee maker and microwave. Amenities at the contemporary hotel include electric vehicle charging stations, a fitness center, an indoor heated saltwater pool, outdoor patio and firepit, guest laundry facilities and a sundry shop with curated local products.

The property also offers a 425-sq.-ft. meeting room that can comfortably accommodate 18 people, as well as a business center located off the lobby.

New Hampton by Hilton opens in Oakhurst-Yosemite Market
OTO Development has opened the Hampton Inn Oakhurst-Yosemite in Oakhurst, CA, as part of a complement of three hotels owned and operated by the company, part of The Johnson Group, near Yosemite National Park.

The hotels—this Hampton by Hilton, a Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott and a Holiday Inn Express & Suites—are adjacent to each other along CA-41, just 13 miles from Yosemite’s south gate.

Noteworthy for its easy proximity to Yosemite National Park, Hampton Inn Oakhurst-Yosemite is an hour closer to the 1,169-square-mile natural attraction than any other Hilton property.

Hampton Inn Oakhurst-Yosemite comprises 111 guestrooms and on-site amenities which include an indoor pool, a well-equipped fitness room, a 24/7 market and a guest laundry facility. For business travelers, there’s a business center and boardroom.

OTO Development purchased Hampton Inn Oakhurst-Yosemite from a family of independent hoteliers while the property was still under construction. OTO previously acquired Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Oakhurst Yosemite and Holiday Inn Express & Suites Oakhurst-Yosemite Park Area, which are next door to the new Hampton by Hilton. The seller was represented by Stanley Wang of Marcus & Millichap.

My Place opens first Ohio hotel
Built in October of 2020, Ohio’s first My Place Hotel recently celebrated its long-awaited grand opening event in Marion, Ohio.

The three-story, 64-room hotel marked My Place Hotels’ 58th property. The hotel is independently owned and operated by RJB Marion LLC and managed by Legacy Management LLC.

Red Roof Inn debuts In Weedsport, NY
Red Roof has opened the Red Roof Inn Weedsport in Weedsport, NY.

The hotel is located near the Dirt Museum Hall of Fame and Weedsport Speedway, as well as Downtown Seneca Falls, the National Women’s Hall of Fame, Women’s Rights National Historical Park and the Lakeview Amphitheater.
