RCPD: Manhattan man threatened victims with a hammer

RILEY COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating an alleged violent crime and have made an arrest.

Just after 9a.m. Tuesday, officers a filed report for aggravated assault, criminal trespass, and criminal damage to property in the 200 block of Tuttle Creek Blvd. in Manhattan, according to the Riley County Police Department activity report.

 Max Motors, a 41-year-old man, and a 54-year-old woman reported a 32-year-old male suspect identified as Christian Ociel Urquizo Gandarilla, 32, of Manhattan threatened the man and woman with a hammer and threw a rock at a Chevrolet Traverse owned by Max Motors.

The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $50.

Pottawatomie County authorities arrested Gandarilla on requested charges of criminal trespass and two counts of aggravated assault. and transported to the Pottawatomie County Jail.
