The NBA announced the All-NBA Teams for the 2021-22 season on Tuesday night, and a familiar face made it: Brooklyn Nets forward Kevin Durant was named to the 2021-22 All-NBA Second Team.
The honor is the 10th All-NBA nod for Durant, and his fourth Second Team placement with his third different team - following 2015-16 with Oklahoma City and 2016-17 and 2018-19 with Golden State. KD is also a six-time First Teamer as well, earning that honor five straight years from 2009-10 to 2013-14 with OKC and in 2017-18 with Golden State.
KD played 55 games this season - in which the Nets were 36-19 - and averaged 29.9 points, 7.4 rebounds, and a career-high 6.4 assists in 37.2 minutes per game. His points total was a single-season franchise record - and would have ranked fourth in the NBA had he qualified - and came on the back of an impressive 51.8/38.3/91.0 FG/3PT/FT shooting line.
Per Nets PR, Durant's four triple-doubles and three 50-point games were career highs, the latter total a Nets single season record; he recorded his career high in points by scoring 55 against Atlanta on April 2; and his 25 30-point games tied Vince Carter's franchise record from 2006-07.
Also this season, Durant was twice named Eastern Conference Player of the Week, was the Eastern Conference Player of the Month for October/November, earned his 12th All-Star selection, and, in March, became the 23rd player in NBA history to reach 25,000 career points.

Durant is the seventh different Net to earn All-NBA honors, and his selection marks the tenth overall All-NBA honor for a Net and the second year in a row Brooklyn has made the team, as Kyrie Irving was All-NBA Third Team last season.
Jason Kidd is the only Net to ever earn All-NBA First Team honors, doing so in 2001-02 and 2003-04 (sandwiched around a Second Team nod in 2002-03), and the other Nets to earn the honor are Stephon Marbury (Third Team, 1999-2000), Derrick Coleman (Third Team in 1992-93 and 1993-94), Drazen Petrovic (Third Team, 1992-93), and Buck Williams (Second Team, 1982-83).
The All-NBA First Team consists of Giannis Antetokounmpo, Luka Dončić, Nikola Jokić, Devin Booker, and Jayson Tatum. Joining KD on the Second Team were Joel Embiid, Ja Morant, Stephen Curry, and DeMar DeRozan.
Karl-Anthony Towns, LeBron James, Chris Paul, Trae Young, and Pascal Siakam made up the Third Team, and 12 other players received votes - including one Third Team vote for Kyrie Irving.
