Bethany, MO: Lowell Littrell left many marks on his adopted hometown ever since moving to Bethany from Iowa in 1973. Lowell and his wife Marlene, and more recently his son Michael, built the Bethany Building Center into one of the most prominent independent lumberyards in the region. Their business prospered at a time when the big box stores like Home Depot, Lowe’s and Menards drove many small town stores out of business.
