Tuesday, May 24th

12:13am: A Traffic Stop in the 300 Block of East Lincoln Way Street resulted in Tristian McNeil of Fort Dodge being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”

1:01am: An officer assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical Call in the 1200 Block of Southfield Drive.

8:00am: Richard Hernandez turned in a small bag containing drug paraphernalia he had located in the 200 Block of East Perry Street.

8:16am: An officer was requested to investigate a Deer vs. Vehicle Accident at 220th Street and 4th Street in Grand Junction. A 2019 Chevrolet Police Tahoe, owned by the Greene County Sheriff’s Office and driven by Shane Allen of Scranton, struck a deer in the roadway. The vehicle was a total loss.

9:49am: Central Iowa Towing reported receiving a call from a male requesting a vehicle tow in the 1000 Block of West Adams Street. The driver came to Jefferson, but the vehicle was not present. It was determined to be a Prank Call.

10:22am: Michelle Cook reported a possible No Contact6 Order Violation to an officer. The officer is investigating.

11:05am: Mark Anthofer reported a Careless Driver on 220 th Street, heading west into Jefferson.

11:08am: Elizabeth Nearhoof reported a Carbon Monoxide Alarm sounding at 101 West Wilcox Way. The officer requested the fire chief to bring a meter to the residence, which did not detect carbon Monoxide inside the residence.

12:47pm: A caller advised of a mail carrier in the street in the 800 Block of West Washington Street, who was screaming and appeared to be having an issue. The officer eventually located the carrier and learned two dogs had approached the carrier and she was screaming at the animals. The officer went to the address of the animal’s owner and spoke to them about the issue. The officer gave the subject a time period to get his animals compliant with Animal Licensing Ordinances.

1:03pm: Stacy Smith reported an Open Door on her rental property in the 400 Block of North West Street. The officer met the owner at the residence and found nothing unusual inside. The residence was secured by the owner.

1:52pm: Rose Lehrkamp reported her juvenile daughter had left school early and she can not locate her. The officer began searching for the juvenile. The mother advised later she had found her daughter and she was home now.

10:08pm: An officer checked on a 911 Hang Up Call. The officer determined it was a pocket dial and the subject did not need assistance.

11:58pm: An officer assisted a motorist at 220th and Grimmell Road, who had mechanical issues.
