‘Harry Potter’-themed Wizard Fest coming to Central New York

A “Harry Potter”-themed Wizard Fest is coming to Central New York this summer. The event will take place Saturday, July 30 under the outdoor pavilion at Sharkey’s Event Center in Liverpool, N.Y.; gates open at 6 p.m.

Wizard Fest will feature a live DJ and dance party, “Harry Potter” trivia, a cosplay costume contest, themed cocktails like butterbeer, vendors, and a Quidditch & Triwizard Tournament. VIP packages will also include a custom wand, Wizard Fest t-shirt, Wizard Cup, bracelet and socks in your choice of Hogwarts-themed house colors (scarlet and gold; blue and bronze; green and silver; or yellow and black).

Early bird tickets are available for $15 through afterdarkpresents.com. VIP packages start at $55. Additional fees may apply.

Attendees under 16 must be admitted with an adult. No owls, cats or toads are allowed.

Sharkey’s Event Center is located at 7240 Oswego Rd. in Liverpool, just a short trip on a flying broom from Syracuse.
