Hulu’s latest documentary is a long-awaited look at late rapper XXXTENTACION’s rise to fame and controversial past. Born as Jahseh Dwayne Onfroy, X’s 2015 breakout song “Look At Me” catapulted the young rapper to superstar fame, with his debut album 17 reaching No. 2 on the Billboard 200.

Despite his mainstream success, the late rapper faced a list of allegations and legal charges, including the assault of his pregnant girlfriend, Geneva Ayala. At the time of his death, X was reported to be facing up to 15 felony charges, to which he pleaded not guilty.

Directed by Sabaah Folayan, Look at Me: XXXTENTACION chronicles his journey from his early popularity as a SoundCloud artist to his death during an armed robbery in June 2018. The film features archival footage of the star as well as conversations with his team and family. The trailer gives a glimpse at X’s struggles with mental health and his bipolar disorder.
