The boys State Golf Tournament finished up yesterday in Ames with a number of great performances from Cedar Valley preps.
In Class 3A, Waverly-Shell Rock’s Hogan Hansen dominated the field finishing first in the individual event with a five-under to win by 10 strokes. It’s Hansen’s second consecutive state championship.
In 2A, Hudson won the team score by 10 strokes over Dyersville Beckman. Grundy Center, which was also competing, placed 7th.
Individually in 2A, Denver’s Clayton Liddle finished 4th with a two round score of 148, just three-shots behind the leader.
In Class 1A, North Butler placed 4th and Don Bosco finished 8th.
Individually in 1A, AGWSR’s Daniel Stahl was third.
