Emmerdale spoilers follow.
Faith Dingle is set to find a new ally amid her cancer storyline on Emmerdale.
The character was recently told that her cancer has returned, though has only told Moira, and is yet to tell her family – including son Cain and daughter Chas – as she wants to repair her relationships with them before they discover the truth.
In new scenes, Faith is daunted as she goes to a chemotherapy appointment, and dreads the treatment. She also feels terrible when she sees another patient with their son, making the gulf between her and Cain feel more painful.

However, she paints a positive family picture to another patient when she lies about where her son and daughter are.
Faith doesn't see that Wendy Posner has been hovering and has overheard everything, and while she's embarrassed to have been caught in a lie, Wendy reassures Faith, admitting she does the same about her dead son Lee, who raped Victoria Sugden a few years ago.
Will Wendy support Faith over the coming weeks?
Speaking recently about the storyline, star Sally Dexter explained of where things will go: "Moira now knows the truth and wants everybody to be told about it, which is the last thing Faith wants to do. Faith fears that, if she lets Cain and Chas know, Cain in particular will pity her but still despise her.
"Faith thinks there's no chance that they could have a proper, honest mother-and-son relationship without it being tinged with the question of, 'Is Cain just being guilt-ridden and responding to Faith out of guilt, rather than because he loves her?'.
"Would he be responding to her as a mother or responding to the cancer?"
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV and streams on the ITV Hub.
