Celtics vs. Heat? It depends on who's healthy

Tuesday here at Bark Bets went well on the ice and poor on the hardwood. The Rangers came through at home, while pucks continued to find the back of the net in the Battle of Alberta. Dallas finally woke up and took a game against Golden State, extending the Western Conference Finals at least another game.

Today's playoff slate is limited to just two games. The Eastern Conference Finals reach an all-important fifth game, while Colorado can win their series against the Blues with a victory tonight.

Let's dig into tonight's action and find the betting angles for each game.

Will the pendulum swing back to the Heat in this back-and-forth series? - We have yet to see Boston or Miami win two straight games in this series, which is currently tied 2-2 as we head to Game 5 tonight in Miami. Boston is the visiting favorite (-1.5) to go along with a -125 moneyline. Jayson Tatum bounced back in a big way last game, and if the Celtics can just get the gang back together again in the form of Marcus Smart and Robert Williams, we like Boston to cover tonight. Both players are currently questionable, and it's hard to bet on the result without clarity there. We've seen the impact Williams has had for this defense when he's been active (2-1 with him this series), so if he's good to go, bet the Celtics. If he can't go, we prefer backing Miami here.

Colorado looks to put series to bed against Blues - One game away from clinching a trip to the Western Conference Finals and fresh off a 6-3 win, the Colorado Avalanche head home to finish the job in this series against the St. Louis Blues. We highlighted how critical the loss of Jordan Binnington would be for St. Louis, and that came to fruition in Game 4. We're not seeing much of a reason to expect a different result, especially with the Avalanche back at home. We're betting on another big win by the Avs as they wrap up this series. Load up Colorado -1.5 in the only NHL game of the evening. If you're looking for a goal-scorer, it's shocking how little production Nathan MacKinnon has had thus far, failing to find the back of the net up to this point. We like his chances in a closeout game, and you can bet him to score at +120.

In other news ...

Charles Schwab Challenge tees off tomorrow - The next PGA tournament on the docket gets going tomorrow morning in Texas at Colonial Country Club. Justin Thomas, fresh off his PGA Championship win, is the betting favorite at +800. Jordan Spieth has had this course's number, finishing in the top 10 in six of the past seven years and winning this tournament in 2016. The runner-up last year, we like looking his way to finish in the top-10 at +140 and to win at +1200.

College Lacrosse Championship this weekend; Maryland the heavy favorite - A Memorial Day weekend tradition, the NCAA Lacrosse semifinals and finals are slated for this weekend. The remaining field is headlined by top-seeded Maryland, a heavy favorite (-600) to take home the championship after losing in the final last season. It's hard to bet against the Terps, considering they're 16-0 this season. Everyone likes an underdog, right? We'll bet on Rutgers at +1000, the favorite in the other semifinal game. Anything can happen on Monday, and it sure would be nice to have a ticket at these odds in our pocket. Rutgers is 15-3 this season.

Tuesday's results alter NHL futures - The biggest news from the Stanley Cup playoffs on Tuesday was Edmonton taking a 3-1 lead in their heated series against Calgary. Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl and Evander Kane have been imposing their will on this Flames team, and the Oilers seem to be for real. Edmonton has flown up the futures board, now +650 to win the Stanley Cup. If you like them to get that done, you might as well look at a few of their skaters to win the Conn Smythe Trophy for most valuable player. McDavid is +700, but the value we see is on Draisaitl at +5000. Draisaitl has 13 points in four games in this series, and after reportedly playing hurt, seems to be playing as well as he has all season.
