Here's who graduated from Graham Hospital School of Nursing

CANTON — Senior nursing students at Graham Hospital School of Nursing received their school pins and diplomas during a special ceremony held Thursday, May 12 for the graduates and school staff. Sixteen students were presented for graduation by the Director of the School, Rebecca Sherwood, R.N., M.S.N. Assisting with the presentation of nursing school pins and diplomas were senior instructors Cristy Lafary, R.N., M.B.A., M.S.N., Leesa Statler, R.N., M.S.N. and the President/CEO of Graham Hospital, Bob Senneff.

Students receiving their school nursing pin and diploma were: Britny Baker, *Jana Eveland, *Erin Hauber, *Jessica Kinsel, *Cris Meacham, and Nicole Scheerer all of Canton; Jaimie Beal of Adair; *Ashley Bertelsen, *Schreen Ogden, and *Caitlin Thrasher all of Lewistown, Jordan Black of Chillicothe; *Jenna Bowman of Rushville; Whitney Corman of Avon; *Ashley DeMay of Trivoli; Tiffany Hall of Vermont; and Elizabeth Tefera of Macomb. (*denotes graduating with honors GPA of 3.0-3.49).

Awards and scholarships were presented to the following graduates with the assistance of Allison Sours, Vice President of Quality at Graham Hospital:

Jenna Bowman – Elizabeth Tally Johnson Scholarship and Philda McCombs Memorial Scholarship

Ashley DeMay – Canton Women’s Club Best All-Around Student and Director’s Academic Award

Cris Meacham – Edna S. Geiger Award for Leadership

Schreen Ogden – Helen Tarter Saunders Memorial Scholarship and Student Senate Scholarship

Nicole Scheerer – Linda Myers Brown “Love of Nursing” Scholarship and Lisa Murphy Memorial Scholarship

Elizabeth Tefera – Genevra Bramble-Sara Carson Scholarship

Scholarships were also awarded to the following underclassmen at a special awards ceremony later the same day:

All the support from the hospital administration and community help GHSON students reach their goals. The school feels very fortunate to have all of these scholarships that help the students financially with their education.
