A Johnson County man who has been accused of repeatedly returning to a home he had been evicted from, is now facing a felony charge after he is said to have assaulted the officer who came to arrest him.

Paintsville Police officers were called to a home on Lower Street on Monday morning, just after midnight. The report came in that 48-year-old Glenn Ray Moore had returned to the home, despite being told multiple times to stay away.

Upon their arrival, the officer noticed that Moore had allegedly broken into a vehicle and then moved it in order to block the road. Moore was discovered to be inside the residence and became combative after being told he was under arrest. After the arrest, Moore was placed into the back of the officer’s cruiser, where he allegedly spit on the officer. After that, Moore allegedly claimed he had AIDS and that he hoped the officer caught it and died.

Moore now faces a long list of charges, including assaulting a police officer, which carries a potential 10-year-prison sentence.
