The Chicago White Sox are a very interesting baseball team. The beginning of the 2022 season has had some ups and downs. They are a team loaded with talent that has seen some injuries and inconsistent play keep them from reaching their true potential.

However, there is a lot of hope surrounding this team because of how good the players there are. The manager has also held them down but he might be able to get better as the year goes along as he did in 2021.

The team is going to try and make some moves as the year goes along in order to produce a deep run in the playoffs. It is going to be hard but they are certainly going to try. These are three players that need to be traded off the roster before the deadline to make room for others:

Vince Velasquez. 23. player. 128. . SP. Chicago White Sox

The Chicago White Sox don’t need to have Vince Velasquez on the team anymore.

Vince Velasquez was the big starting pitching addition for the White Sox over the winter. Of course, the lockout impacted things but it impacted things for all of Major League Baseball and not just the White Sox. That is not good enough and he shouldn’t be with the team for the whole season.

If there is a team that might need a 5th starter, the White Sox could trade them Velasquez for relatively cheap. Getting someone’s 15th best prospect would be better than nothing but even that is a stretch. He might be able to help someone else but the White Sox have better options.

If the rest of the rotation is able to maintain health and pitch better than he has, they should really look into this. There is another White Sox starter on this list who might deserve to go more but it will be hard for 16 million reasons.
