La Crescenta, Los Angeles County, CA: Two people were killed in a crash that jammed the vehicle under a big rig from the force of the collision on the 210 Freeway late Tuesday night, May 24, 2022.

California Highway Patrol and Los Angeles City Fire Department responded to the 210 Freeway eastbound at La Tuna Canyon exit for a reported car underneath a big rig at around 11:52 p.m. in the La Crescenta area of Los Angeles County.

When units arrived at the location, they found one person that had been ejected during the crash lying on the roadway and one person still inside the compact vehicle that was stuck underneath a big rig parked on the shoulder.

LAFD Heavy Rescue personnel used a crane to lift up the big rig and pull the vehicle from underneath the truck. CHP is investigating the collision.

This collision happened about one week after the same type of traffic collision occurred where a vehicle crashed under a big rig in the same location with two people deceased at the scene.
