The newest finalists for the 7th Annual Ring Out for Art contest now have their sculptures on display in Jefferson.

Jefferson Matters: A Main Street and Chamber Community Tower View Team Chair Deb McGinn says the four finalists have their artwork on the southside of the Greene County Courthouse. She describes when everyone can vote for their favorite sculpture.

“We’ll have a ‘People’s Choice’ award. That voting will start the weekend of Bell Tower (Festival), and it’ll be in the tower (to vote) like we’ve done before. You just in and vote what one you want. That’ll go through like mid-August and then we’ll count those votes. Then that sculpture, whoever wins, that sculpture will stay in our community for one year and that artist will win an extra $500 from Tower View Team.”

McGinn notes each finalist also received a $1,000 stipend from Home State Bank in Jefferson, which has financially supported the contest since its inception.
