Man, woman, both 34, dead after a high-speed crash in Las Vegas (Las Vegas, NV)

Two people lost their lives following a high-speed crash Tuesday in Las Vegas.

As per the initial information, the fatal car accident took place on Jones Boulevard and Flamingo Road. The preliminary reports showed that a 2012 Chevrolet Corvette slammed into an NV Energy power pole and struck a fence on a private property.

According to the authorities, the Chevrolet was going at high speed, and the driver failed to maintain its lane, resulting in the crash. The vehicle rolled over before coming to a stop. On arrival, first responders rushed the 34-years-old driver to University Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

The 34-year-old female passenger died of her injuries at the scene. Jones Boulevard was shut down in both directions between Flamingo & Viking during the investigation. No other details are available.

The accident remains under investigation.
