Call the Midwife's Trixie Franklin left halfway through series 11, due to actress Helen George's pregnancy.
But you can rest assured that she is returning for some big storylines in series 12, which is currently filming now.
Speaking to Radio Times, the show's creator Heidi Thomas said: "Trixie rejoins us. And something interesting and rather wonderful will happen for Trixie this series, so she has big news coming up – which we probably won't unveil just yet."
One storyline we'll likely see picked up is Trixie's blossoming relationship, although whether it's gone from strength-to-strength or come to an end in the interim is anyone's guess at this point.

We can probably rule out Trixie getting pregnant, as Helen previously said that they had to hide to her baby bump when filming as "it wasn't a correct storyline to choose for the character, as well. It wasn't right for Trixie to be pregnant."
The BBC has already renewed the show for a 13th series, so we know that series 12 won't be the end But it does invite the question of how long Call the Midwife can go on for.
"The most general thing I can say about that is, we're all very happy with where it's going. We have always said that it has… I think, historically, it has a natural, general timeline," Stephen McGann previously told Digital Spy.

"It won't go on forever, because it wouldn't go on forever. If you stick to a level of historical accuracy, it won't go on in that form forever, because it didn't back then. So therefore, it has some kind of an end mark.
"But I think (the creative team) are far too clever A) not to know when that would be, or B) not to make it work within the framework of history."
Call the Midwife airs on BBC One.
