Tim Ramsey defeats Overstreet in Etowah County Commission District 4 race

Incumbent Tim Ramsey defeated Jeff Overstreet on Tuesday in the Republican primary for Etowah County Commission District 4.

With this vote, as he faces no Democratic opposition in November's general election, Ramsey has been reelected to serve in this position beginning in 2023.

"I want to thank everyone for their support, especially my family and all of the voters who had their confidence in me," he said. "It's a blessing and a relief and I'm ready to get back in there and continue the good work we have been doing. We've turned a corner and we will do good things for the next four years."

Ramsey finished with a 277-vote edge in unofficial returns lacking on absentee votes, with 1,646 votes to Overstreet's 1,369.
