How Escambia County, Ala. voted in today’s primary

Escambia County voters went to the polls on Tuesday in a primary election set to choose the candidates to be placed on the ballot for the general election in November.

In statewide races, Escambia County cast their votes for the following offices:

Democratic Governor: Yolanda Rochelle Flowers – 106; Malika Sanders Fortier – 71; Patricia Salter Jamieson – 472; Arthur Kennedy – 38; Chad Martin – 16; Doug Smith – 25.

Republican Governor: Lindy Blanchard-911; Lew Burdette-114; Stacy Lee George-13; Kay Ivey (i)-2,813; Tim James-404; Donald Trent Jones-21; Dean Odle-32; Dave Thomas-9; Dean Young-20.

Democratic U.S. Senator: Will Boyd-433; Brandaun Dean-169; Lanny Jackson-100.

Republican U.S. Senator: Lillie Boddie-38; Katie Britt-2,169; Mo Brooks-1,073; Karla M. Dupriest-40; Mike Durant-883; Jake Schafer-53.

Democratic U.S. Representative 2nd Congressional District: Phyllis Harvey-Hall-21; Vimal Patel-17.

The remaining races only displayed Republican candidates for the offices.

State Senator District 22: Greg Albritton-3,234; Stephen Sexton-872.

State Representative District 92: Matthew Hammet-111; Greg White-349.

Associate Justice of Supreme Court Place 5: Greg Cook-2,031; Debra Jones-1,785.

Secretary of State: Wes Allen-1,266; Christian Horn-315; Ed Packard-232; Jim Zeigler-1,926.

State Auditor: Stan Cooke-977; Rusty Glover-1,537; Andrew Sorrell-1,034.

Public Service Commission Place 1: John Hammock-1,088; Stephen McLamb-325; Jeremy H. Oden-898; Bent Woodall-885.

Public Service Commission Place 2: Chip Beeker-1,555; Robin Litaker-622; Robert L. McCollum-1,048.

On the statewide amendment regarding funding for Alabama State Parks, Escambia County voters cast 3,676 “yes” votes and 1,073 “no” votes.
