Beyond Van Gogh immersive experience coming to North Charleston in July; tickets on sale

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) — "Beyond Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience" is making a stop in Charleston for a limited-run starting this July.

The show will be at the Charleston Area Convention Center in North Charleston from July 16 to September 4. Tickets are on sale now at vangoghcharleston.com.

The immersive experience is a multimedia exhibit featuring more than 300 of the post-Impressionist artist's greatest works, including "The Starry Night," "Sunflowers" and "Café Terrace at Night.” The digital images are accompanied by Van Gogh's own dreams, thoughts, and words set to a symphonic score.

The show has toured internationally, with 2.5 million tickets sold worldwide.

The tickets are timed single-entry tickets but VIP packages and group rates are also available.

The show is produced by Paquin Entertainment Group, presented by Outback Presents, and created by French-Canadian Creative Director Mathieu St-Arnaud and his team at Montreal’s renowned Normal Studio.

“An imaginative and fully-immersive adventure, Beyond Van Gogh takes on the challenge of breathing new life into Van Gogh’s vast body of work. Through the use of cutting-edge 3D projection technology and music to illuminate all of his genius, guests can experience the artist with all their senses,” said St-Arnaud, Normal Studio.

The exhibit will be closed Mondays, but open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday. Tickets start at $36.99 for adults and $21.99 for children, excluding ticketing fees. More information and tickets can be found at vangoghcharleston.com.
