Crews from the Eugene Springfield Fire Department responded to a fire at the Lane County Circuit Court.

Crews responded just before 5:30 p.m.

According to Eugene Springfield Battalion Chief Mike Barnaby, when crews arrived, the fire was already put out, although smoke remained.

He said the fire was caused accidentally by a grinder tool a maintenance worker was using on an elevator in the courthouse.

There was one minor injury reported.
