UPDATE: Two vehicles a total loss, house sustains minor damage in Fond du Lac Fire

FOND DU LAC, Wis. (WFRV) – The Fond du Lac Fire Department has given more details on the garage fire that was threatening to spread to a residential home.

According to a release, firefighters were sent to the 400 block of East Merrill Avenue for a detached garage fire.

After arriving, the crews found the entire detached garage fully engulfed in flames. Firefighters were able to quickly knock down the flames within 30 minutes of arriving. Alliant Energy was called to the scene to secure a damaged electric meter.

The addressed home and a neighboring garage experience minor fire damage while the two vehicles parked in front of the garage are considered a total loss.

The fire remains under investigation and Local 5 will bring you more details should they emerge.

NOW: Two garage fire in Fond du Lac threatening house

FOND DU LAC, Wis. (WFRV) – The Fond du Lac Fire Department is currently battling a two garage fire.

According to their Twitter page, crews are on the scene and working to prevent the flames from expanding to the residence.

From the looks of the pictures, two vehicles have been affected by the fire and the garage has taken extensive damage.

No further details have been released and Local 5 will update this story when more information is made available.
