As the NBA’s conference finals continue, Adam Silver and the National Basketball Association has revealed the players who have made the All-NBA First Team, All-NBA Second Team and All-NBA Third Team.

There were not too many shockers, but Philadelphia 76ers fans might not be pleased. Not only did Joel Embiid not win NBA MVP, despite many believing he should have, he didn’t even make All-NBA First Team, according to The Athletic’s Shams Charania.

The All-NBA First Team is comprised of Nikola Jokic, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Luka Doncic, Devin Booker and Jayson Tatum.

The All-NBA Second Team includes Joel Embiid, Ja Morant, Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant and DeMar DeRozan.

Finally, the All-NBA Third Team consists of Karl-Anthony Towns, LeBron James, Chris Paul, Trae Young and Pascal Siakam.

This was the first time that Tatum achieved first team honors. The Celtics superstar previously was named to the third team back in 2020. Meanwhile, there are four MVP’s represented on the first team with him. Nikola Jokic, the two-time reigning league MVP was named All-NBA First Team once again. The two years prior, Antetokounmpo won NBA MVP.

This was the third consecutive season that Doncic received All-NBA First Team honors. That’s pretty incredible considering he’s only been in the NBA for four years. Finally, Booker made the list for the first time. He helped the Phoenix Suns finish with the best record in the NBA at 64-18. Booker led the team scoring with over 26 points per game and was a stalwart defensively.

It would be hard to argue that any of the players above did not deserve first team honors. But you can definitely argue that some of the second team players could have made it. Embiid stands out the most though.
