2nd alarm fire reported in Harrisburg

UPDATE: More than 30 people displaced after 2nd alarm fire in Harrisburg: officials

Crews were responding to a second alarm fire in Harrisburg on Tuesday evening, according to dispatch and fire company reports.

Harrisburg Bureau Fire Station 1 shared on Facebook that they were operating on the fire in the 2400 block of Reel Street, at a residence in the middle of rowhomes.

Swatara Fire Company also shared it was responding to the fire, adding that the fire was in the second and third floors of the home.

The fire was knocked down by around 8:35 p.m., control marked by 8:50 p.m., but overhaul was ongoing, according to dispatch reports. No additional details were available Tuesday evening.

Harrisburg Mayor Wanda Williams, who lives nearby, went to the scene and spoke with the families whose four homes were impacted by the fire, the city tweeted Tuesday night. No injuries were reported in the fire.
