Flags to fly at half-staff in honor of Texas school shooting victims

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Gov. Pete Ricketts announced Tuesday that state flags will fly at half-staff in remembrance of the victims who died in a shooting at a Texas elementary school.

The announcement was made in accordance with a proclamation from the White House, a press release says.

Flags will fly at half-staff until Saturday evening.

Earlier on Tuesday, 18 children and three adults were killed in a school shooting in Uvalde, Texas.

The death toll is expected to rise, according to federal law enforcement.
